Huge, deep potholes and disintegratins tarmax, 11th March

There are several huge potholes that have appeared on the hill leading down to Auchmuir Bridge (on PKC road before it turns into Fife). These are really dangerous as the road is already badly broken up on the verge side of the carriageway, and these deep potholes are just making the road very hazardous. They potholes extend up the hill from Auchmuir Bridge to where the road starts to level out at the top of the hill, and when it rains these potholes fill with water and you can't tell they are there, or how deep they are. Please repair asap - thank you.

Speed Limit, 27th October

Thu, 27 Oct 2011 11:06:00 +0100

What justification do Fife Council provide for reducing this section of carriageway to a 40mph limit? The 2006 Circular entitled Setting Local Speed Limits advises that speed limits should not be implemented in isolation but should be self enforcing and reflect the speed at which drivers generally drive. Having driven that road on numerous occasions over a 10 year period, I am very much aware that motorists do not travel at 40mph here. Yes I appreciate that there have been a number of accidents however, given that guidance advises against setting speed limits in isolation and also advises against siting them to rectify reduce accidents without "accompanied engineering methods". Please explain the justification behind this stupid decision. Is it merely a money making scheme for Fife Police as I guarantee very few people actually travel at the advertised 40mph limit.
