20mph part-time speed limit sign on north side of A91 Carslogie Road at Duffus Park Bowling Club, Cupar., 15th May
Fundamentally this sign is in the wrong place. It is on the wrong side of the road for westbound motorists whose attention is focused on buses and school pupils walking close to the edge of the nearside pavement, and at this time of year its angle means that reflection of the rising sun makes the sign all-but unviewable. All that said, I am as certain as I can be in the circumstances that the sign was unlit at 08:25 on 14th May and 08:45 on 15th May. A glance in the mirror a minute later at it's brother up at The Drum showed it was lit and functioning, suggesting that the speed limit was actually operational at that time.

Carslogie Road Island, 22nd January
There is an island in the middle of A91 Carslogie Road Cupar, outside the main entrance to Elmwood College. One of the bollards has been mashed. The island is also totally unlit, although I am not sure if it originally had ground lights or just relied on the reflectivity of the bollards.

Really bad pothole hidden under water in a dip on the Q50, about (very approximately) 300 metres west of Westhall Farm heading to Fernie Mill. This is in the middle of road in a dip filled with water.

A two-legged sign on the south side of the A91 about 150 metres east of Hangman's lane has partly rusted through and is now listing at a jaunty angle. Depending on how it fails next, it could impinge on the carraigeway.

20mph flasher fault, Carslogie Road, Cupar, 12th November
It looks like the 20mph flasher on A91, Carslogie Road, Cupar (at Duffus Park for westbound traffic) has gone faulty again. At 08:06 on Wednesday morning it was totally unlit, but a few seconds later I noticed its neighbour (at Derna Cottage for eastbound traffic) was flashing away for a 20mph restriction.

Pedestrian Crossing failure Carslogie Road, Cupar, 17th September
The pedestrian/Pelican crossing/traffic lights on A91, Carslogie Road, Cupar (at Elmwood College) isn't working this morning. I was pushed for time earlier but tried to take a couple of minutes to report this on 03451 550099 - as per attached page from FifeDirect website - but the operator was convinced I should be reporting this to a different team. I didn't have time, and just wanted to make a report in the interests of road safety of school pupils. Anyway, that is it reported now, but you might want to sort out where such a report really should be made to?

20 mph flasher malfunctioning again, 5th June
The 20 mph when lit flashing speed limit sign on A91, Carslogie Road Cupar (for westbound traffic at Rathcluan House) is playing up again. Last week it didn't work one day at 08:15, but did work on two other days at 08:10 and 08:20.
This week, it didn't work at 08:20 yesterday, but was working at 08:25 today.

20 mph flashing sign fault A91 Duffus Park, Cupar, 29th April
This sign remains hard to see at the best of times, However, last Friday I passed it at 08:03 and it was not flashing for 20mph. I put that down to a bit of loose time-sync. Today, I passed it at 08:22 and it was not flashing again. I "understood" it should flash from 08:00. The neighbouring sign for eastbound traffic (opposite The Drum) was flashing at these times both days.
