Demolished lamppost in Powmill, 14th May

Mon, 14 May 2018 09:29:15 +0100
56.166806 -3.579258

Hello guys, I'm only through Powmill on a Saturday morning so I really hoped the locals would report this, but sadly not. About five Saturdays ago I noticed something had struck a lamppost at the bridge over the burn in Powmill. They bent it over double, but incredibly it has stayed upright. Very sorry for not alerting you earlier but I usually start thinking about other things by Monday morning.

Multiple pot hole getting worse, 3rd March

Thu, 03 Mar 2011 22:34:20 +0000
56.1874228301842 -3.59849297190522

A823 north of Rumbling bridge, south of Yetts o Muckhart: over last 3 to 4 moths potholes worsening, road breaking up accross carriageway, loose stones, very dangerous, difficult to see at night. Clackmannanshire council have made no effort to effect repairs, which are urgently required given there is a major safety, on a busy through route, risk to all road users

No speed restrictions, 3rd March

Thu, 03 Mar 2011 22:32:36 +0000
56.1819226388711 -3.61033186180954

I have complained about following issue previously and Clackmannanshire council have done nothing. Road is residential/rural. At southern end for a short stretch at Muckhart Primary school speed limit is 20mph. For rest of road either side of this speed limit is 60mph which is inappropriate given narrow road, bens, houses, pedestrians, cyclists horses. At a minimum the stretch past houses should be at most 30mph. There is a safety issue with traffic driving without due care and attention and over the the 12 years I have lived here there have been many accidents and even more near misses. It is a disgrace that the council roads dept does nothing to at least attempt to revise posted speed limits.

Speed limits on rumbling bridge road, 14th October

Wed, 14 Oct 2009 08:00:21 +0100
56.1820793640684 -3.60847099488707

Rumbling bridge road is unrestricted as regards speed ie 60mph limit apart from a small stretch outside Muckhart primary school. The road conditions and level of traffic make a 60mph limit both dangerous and inappropriate. There have been many minor accidents over the years. The road is narrow, is used by walkers, cyclists and horse riders. My request is that the road is rezoned to 30mph limit, with also a 20mph limit on the stretch where there are houses. Thanks

Speed restriction needed urgently, 19th December

Wed, 19 Dec 2007 22:04:37 +0000
56.1772607026051 -3.58439348295538

There is no 30mph in Rumbling Bridge. So cars come hurtling off the fast main road towards the single track bridge at incredibly high speeds. Our kitten was killed by a speeding motorist last week and there are lots of ramblers of all ages walking from the footpath onto the bridge, especially at weekends. Rumbling Bridge desperately needs at least a speed limit and preferably a speed bump before the bridge to keep us safe. Please investigate this as surely it is any easy one to fix. Thank you.
