Inadequate sewerage provision, 30th January
It is my understanding that the sewerage provision in Crombie is, and has been, inadequate since the erection of more houses than the system could support. Recently, some of the houses in question have been emptied with the intention of demolishing (or rebuilding) because the houses are sub standard. This would be an ideal opportunity to a) not rebuild some of the houses so the present sewerage system can cope with demand or b) upgrade the sewerage system to cope with current demand. I am a resident who frequently puts up with raw sewage flooding my rear garden to which an environmental health officer once responded to my complaint "there is nothing we can do to clean the spillage away on a garden, it will be OK in about three months", in that instance part of the garden was covered in toilet roll ETC!!! Most recently, I have again had to dispose of the contents of my veg patch due to them being contaminated by raw sewerage.
Please advise if this situation is being addressed as part of the planned building programme.
kind regards
