Shrubs and bushes are blocking the pavement., 11th August
Shrubs and bushes are blocking the pavement on the north side of the street. They overhang the footwway and mean you have to step off the footway to pass the problem. Dangerous for children going to school.

Same household continue to park cars both side of road on the pavement., 15th June
This practice causes parents going to school having to bump buggies down across the pavement to cross busy street during school days. The pavement is dropped down a level where these cars are parked so this safe route cannot be taken. Also we have two registered blind residents in the Round who when walking their guide dogs have to walk on the road and pass the cars. This is on a busy corner at school times.

Parks/landscapes, 16th July
This area was originally part of the Factored Estate and the grass was cut and maintained by the Scottish Greenbelt Company. Unfortunately they went into receivership and the land was sold to a developer. Since the sale the developer has not maintained the land and has not cut the grass for a number of years. It is getting worse every year. This year is particularly bad as the grass is extremely long and the rubbish that has collected in the area has attracted rats. The grass needs to be cut back as a matter of urgency to discourage the rats that are present. Is it possible for Fife Council to force the land owner to maintain this ground or can the Council cut the grass as part of their maintenance programme? They already cut the shrubs and trees on the opposite side of the road.

Rubbish left in street, 8th May
This morning I was leaving Whinnyburn Place and was behind the refuse lorry. I waited until the bins were being emptied into the back of the lorry until I could get past. When the men were finished tipping the green plastics wheely bins into the back of the lorry, there was some plastic that had fallen from the lorry and onto the ground. I sat with my kids in the car as I watched them walk away from the rubbish that had fallen and just leave it lying to litter the street. Not a great example for the kids to see never mind the fact that the street was left with litter lying around the road. Needless to say I have gone and collected this in so it doesn’t blow around and mess up the street.

Pathway needing resurfaced, 9th April
Path in Dunfermline public park up from the grandstand leading to Park Place needs resurfaced as it is dangerous. My daughter tripped and fell requiring a hospital visit and stitches. If this path was smoothed over like most of the other pathways in the same park these injuries would not have occurred. It looks like the path has been like this for a number of months.
