Water from public ditch overflowing into private land, 22nd February
The road-side drains on the south side of Ockham lane feed into a ditch which runs along Norton Lane. The initial section of this ditch is owned by the council and is overflowing, causing significant water-logging of our land to the South and East. We own the remainder of the ditch on Norton Lane and would like to co-ordinate its maintenance with the relevant authority please.

Two deep potholes on BOokham road as you head north-east from the Bookham Common carpark towards Downside village, 13th November
Potholes ahve been getting steadily worse in recent months. One is on the edte of a previous repair.
Both are significant, estimated to be at least 2 inches deep and possibly worse, but difficult to be certain as they were filled with muddy water.
And in a poor position where they are likely to be in line of the left hand wheels of a car, or indeed the wheels of a bicycle/motorbike.
The holes are bad enough to unseat a cyclist and potentially cause injury, and migth also be bad enough to cause damage to motorbike or car.
The road is unlit, so there is little warning of the holes in dark winter condition. This road is a useful low traffic route between BOokham and Cobham, particularly useful for cycling familes with children and commuter cyclists who wish to avoid the fast traffic on nearby roads.
The road surface at HUndred Pound Bridge is also badly potholed.

Tree has become too large and roots making pavement dangerous, 24th October
The Lime tree opposite 14 Dabernon Drive has become too large and the roots are causing the pavement to be broken, uneven and hazardous. Curb stones are being dislodged. The overhanging branches into 14 Dabernon Drive are dropping sap that causes damage to parked cars. Please arrange for the tree to be properly pollarded back to a size more compatible with its location and minimise impact on local residents. It requires more than just branches being trimmed back as these quickly become over grown again. This situation is causing a nuisance and impacting residents day to day wellbeing. Thank you for your kind and supportive response to this cry for help.

White lines all but disappeared, 4th October
The white lines which divide the lanes on the anticlockwise side of the M25, soon after the A3 roadworks restrictions end, have practically disappeared. This section seems like a free for all where vehicles just hope they are staying within their lanes, guided solely by each other plus the small cats eyes which aren't easy to see during daylight hours. This is an accident waiting to happen.
