Broken wall, 30th December
The wall surrounding a paved area has broken. This wall has been reported as unsafe in the past. The ground under the paved area is soaking wet due to broken land drains. As a result the wall is leaning. Children regularly walk along the wall. It is basically a serious accident waiting to happen.

Illegal car parking, 8th July
This person continues to flaunt the law and park on the double yellow lines outside her property despite complaining about receiving parking fines. I gave her the benefit of the doubt today that she was possibly just unloading but, one hour later, the car was still parked in the same place.

Plastic manhole cover has never been fixed in position., 10th June
This manhole was put in place some time ago following a leak in the nearby footpath. I was alerted to the fact that the cover hadn't been fixed in place when I noticed local children playing with it. On investigation I found that the drain went down to a depth of about three feet but thankfully wasn't full of water. I shudder to think of the potential tragedy had it been full.

Car parking on double yellow lines, 30th December
Cars continuing to park on double yellow lines at the top of Back Street with the junction with James Street. The car owner lives at the top of Back Street and considers it her right to park at her door but by parking there the junction is very dangerous. I have reported this on numerous occasions but flouting of the law is continuing.

Water coming out from pavement repair following collapse last year, 30th October
Last year an area of pavement outside number 12 Beechwood Road in Tarbolton collapsed. Now, after recent heavy rain, water is coming up from around the pavement repair. I have a video of the problem but am unable to share it. The water is running down Beechwood Road and flowing over the drain at the corner of Beechwood Road and Sandgate because the drain is blocked. The problem on the pavement is not mains water, it is water coming up from broken land drains, as was the situation lower down the road.

Horrendous road surface, 7th September
The stretch of road from the junction just outside Tarbolton all the way to the junction with the B743. Several potholes have been patched over the years leaving the road extremely uneven in places.

Parking on double yellow lines, 23rd August
I have reported parking on the double yellow lines at the junction of James Street/Mansfield Road and Back Street on numerous occasions, yet still every time I walk up to the top of Back Street or drive into the street there is invariably a car parked on the double yellow lines. I’m pretty sure the car owner lives in the first house on Back Street and feels it’s their right to park at their door. However, the road is narrow and has double yellow lines at the top for a reason. While riding my motorbike up Back Street recently I had to stop quickly to avoid a car turning wide into the street to avoid the parked car.

Water coming out onto road from below pavement, 17th June
After the very heavy rain of a few days ago water is coming out from below the pavement onto the road at the bottom of Beechwood Road on the left-hand side. This has happened previously and caused the pavement to collapse. The repaired area of pavement is beginning to drop down and crack. There is clearly a major water issue below the whole paved area next to the damage, as the wall is leaning over and will eventually collapse. The drain at the corner of the Sandgate and Beechwood Road looks as if is blocked, as water is running over the top. My own garden is often waterlogged following heavy rain due to inadequate land drainage.

Smithfield crescent play park tarbolton., 26th May
Park has no actual bin, there is a frame but no actual bin at the park! Also Abandoned garage located right next to park, very dangerous no floor etc!! Kids are always playing at it, falling through floor and injuring themselves!! Matter of time before a serious accident occurs!!! Can this be pulled down!!

A hole approximately 12 inches by 8 inches and at least a foot deep has appeared in the pavement at the front of my property., 9th April
I reported the hole via the council website about 4 days ago but, so far, no-one has been out to look at it let alone fix it. I have covered the hole with a garden trug, as I feel that walking into the trug is much less dangerous than falling into the hole and potentially breaking a bone. The pavement is very cracked around the hole and looks likely to subside.

Large pile of smashed glass, 19th October
Large pile of smashed glass that looks to be from a car window im guessing as it’s all smashed into thousands of small squares.
The glass is in a pile and also scattered on the pavement outside number 6 Sandgate.
