Road resurfacing , both lanes at same time, no footpath, waved on to wet tar and stone chips on a road bike. Tar on tyres, stones stuck to tyres, abrupt stop, fell off, damage to bike., 15th June
Road cycling on Arran from Brodick anti clockwise. Resurfacing was not done one lane at a time so no access to a ' normal' road surface and was waved on to wet tar and stone chips. No pavement so another reason for it to be one lane at a time. Section fairly long through Corrie. Damage to road bike shoes/cleats, damage to brake units, damage to tyres, shaken when fell off due to trapped stones stuck to tar on tyres causing bike to stop abruptly.
