Pot hole debris causing skid risk, 6th March
The potholes in Pykenham way are spilling their loose gravel across the roadway making the road dangerous for cyclists to use and causing a skid risk for motorists should they need to stop suddenly if a child steps into the road. The junction with Calais Street and the approach to Bradfield Ave are particularly bad. I appreciate that repairing the potholes isn't necessarily viable immediately but clearing the road of this dangerous debris is a quick easy and inexpensive remedy. I am very concerned that a roadway problem cannot be reported anonymously surely this will restrict the number of reports made and consequently the effective management of those problems.

Resident reported icy road and unable to get off estate. They wondered if the road could be gritted. We advised that estate roads are not usually a priority as SCC concentrate on the main roads but that there may be a grit bin on the estate he could make use of. He asked if we could bring this to attention anyway.

Water Leak/Running Water Near Edge of Highway, 25th November
There has been a water leak here for a few months now, on the grass verge next to the Electricity substation and a private dwelling. The water runs down the road and as the surface water drains are blocked this goes for a considerable distance before finding a clear drain. The other issue is with it being outside St Marys Primary school and with the winter months now setting in, if this water were to freeze, people may get injured slipping on it. I have contacted Anglian Water (ref no 20936540) and the investigator they sent has said it isn't coming from any of their supplies. My main worry was the children and road users and potential accidents that could happen if not resolved.

Footpath over bridge closed, 2nd July
A much used footpath over the river Brett, connecting the the two Tinkers Lanes from East and West has been closed for many months. This is due to a subsidence on an old mill site nearby. However, the scaffold / shuttering extends unnecessarily beyond the sink-holes and prohibits the use of the footpath bridge that is crucial for access to the countryside for many pedestrians walking their dogs. The scaffold / shuttering could easily be modified to allow access across the river.

Blocking road & roundabout, 13th March
People parking in our narrow lane close that has a huge roundabout that is not treated as a roundabout - cars zooming in to turn round from high street.. Cars parking around the roundabout blocking traffic.. Cars going the wrong way around the roundabout causing near misses.. Cars blocking the narrow lane off the roundabout (see pictures) so we are unable to leave our home either by car or on foot. Lack of road signs on roundabout or no parking signs or yellow lines. The roads also double as walkways as there are no paths here. I am disabled and if my husband is not here to track down the drivers I am unable to leave my house. We need a smaller roundabout or proper roundabout signs and parking restrictions within the close. Residents either have driveways or parking slots but these are often blocked off. Non-emergency ambulances are among the biggest offenders and after our complaint to the Ambulance service which they did uphold in our favour; the crews still do it misusing their status and trying to bully us into feeling mean spirited for asking them to move their vehicle so we can get out of our house.
