A second large pothole has appeared in the centre of the A134 adjacent to one which was filled in last year. This could be very dangerous particularly for motorcycles.

Dangerous erosion at side of road, 17th August
At top of Cold Hill Alpheton, on left carriageway heading towards Sudbury, there are huge ruts in the side of the carriageway caused (presumably) by lorries or farm machinery which has encroached onto grassed area from metalled road. This has been apparent for some time, but is now much worse and will cause a serious accident if any bike or car gets their wheels caught in the rut as they are now quite deep.

Deep pothole towards centre of carriageway just outside 30mph limit of Alpheton, driving towards bury st edmunds. Would be hazard now to motor bikes and to cars if it gets much wider.

A bag of drinks bottles was dumped in the lay-by and now appears to have split or been knocked over leaving the bottles strewn across the lay-by and hedgerow.

Very deep pothole has just opened up on left side of road heading towards Bury St Edmunds from Sudbury direction. Will cause damage if car or cyclist hits it.

Multiple pot holes on down stretch, previously poorly patched and now failing again, 22nd March
On the a134 heading from Sudbury to Bury st Edmunds, on the hill after the kentwell hall banner round the bend on the hill dropping down to bridge st, multiple previously repaired potholes and large sections of roadway missing, getting worse each week, its the entire hilly section prior to the left hand turn (the left turn before the right hand turn into Bridge St Rd) also the continuing stretch of a134 going past the former pub on left is cracking and only 1 hole has been yellow sprayed for repair inspite of multiple widening cracks further along, these will become a worsening hazard, especially for bikes & motorcycles

At both edges of splay to northern exit towards Bridge Street village there are 2 potholes. The southernmost pothole is deep and getting worse, the northernmost is currently not too bad, but will obviously deteriorate.

Potholes in alpheton, 15th March
There are numerous potholes all around this blind corner. They cause vehicles to veer across the road to avoid them. I have seen many a near miss due to this. These have been reported before but no action seems to have been taken.
