Speeding traffic Auldearn high street, 22nd April
At least 50% of traffic entering the village from the Nairn end and especially leaving the village, towards Nairn, is totally ignoring the speed limit. Even before the speed limit was reduced to 20 from 30 traffic was exceeding the limit. This happens at all times of day but much worse at night. The village is used as a "rat run" by many people wanting to avoid the traffic lights in Nairn and have absolutely no regard for the safety of the village residents and pets. At night many cars are well in excess of 40 mph. The new speed limit is not very well displayed but I feel that most people have no intention to observe the limit anyway. Can something please be done this is a problem that is getting worse!
