Google maps shows give way markings should be there. I flagged the missing road markings with Kirklees council in March 2022 but nothing has been done. It's now June. It's incredibly dangerous if you don't know the road.

Street light now been not working for over a week.

Council failing to clear drains resulting in New Fold resulting in unsafe conditions for cars and pedestrians, 21st November
Due to drains not being kept clear New Fold is now like a stream bed. If / when this freezes I and other residents will be housebound. This is unacceptable.

Large areas of road have sunk, 22nd October
There are large areas that look like a drain underground has sunk. These sags in the road cause cars to catch their front spoilers. and potentially loose control

Surface water gully drains blocked again, 22nd October
These street gully drains are forever getting blocked but the council take ages to clear them which is then only is a temporary fix. Water is getting into a property in one area. They have not yet cleared these drains from over 2 weeks ago when reported by a kneighbour

Pothole repairs cartworth, 20th December
Repair have been carried on on Cartworth Moor Road these have been left. Repairs done either side! What a waste of council tax payers money. Common sense says do it whilst your there Kirklees??

Cemetery Lane, 19th August
Large and deep potholes plus a 100m trench further up this road which is now being used a lot because of diversions. No action from Kirklees in over a year since these opened up. Where is their inspection team? Why are we paying council tax for poor service?

Bad surface due to previous road works, 30th March
The road has several sunken areas due to previous repairs to services having taken place. The road is the lower part of Upperthong Lane, Holmfirth (HD9 3BD from five lane ends down to the Church and beyond.

Dangerous parking outside stumble inn, 27th February
Every Friday and Saturday evening there is very dangerous parking on woodhead road outside the stumble inn. Vehicles have started parking in a residents only drive (healds court) and going to the pub and also parking in the entrance to the residents drive. This makes it absolutely impossible to see the busy road when joining it and is only a matter of time before a serious crash. People are also double parking all along the road and attending the pub causing a serious problem for all residents.
