FIXMYSTREET IN HR4 8DJ
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of HR4 8DJ:
Open/broken drain or manhole cover, 10th April
This is on the grass verge of A49 at given location. The verges were cut today and this has unearthed a large broken drain or manhole cover. I have photographed with my foot beside it so you can see how large the holes are. Very dangerous for anyone walking on the verge. This is just to the left of the green sewage pumping station box, so could well be something to do with sewage cover.

Lifting drainage grate, 19th April
One the way out of the village of Moreton-On-Lugg, just short of the junction with the A49, there is a drainage grate that is lifting. It jumps every time someone drives over it and the road surface around it is starting to crumble. It is gradually getting worse and if it breaks loose completely, it will do some serious damage to a car or pedestrian. Thanks

Poor visibility of road closed signs, 9th November
A49 north of Hereford is currently closed for overnight roadworks. Road closed signage on northbound carriageway is not very visible at night - flashing beacons seem really dim.
You also can’t see the signage if you’re travelling southbound, meaning you suddenly come up against oncoming cars on your side of the road, which are trying to avoid the signage on their side.
This is dangerous on a busy road which is mainly a 60 mph limit, which has no street lighting where the road closed signage is.

Lights not working at junction on A49 and Moreton-On-Lugg, 4th November
Hello. Since moving to Moreton-On-Lugg in June (2022), the island lights at the junction with the A49 have not worked. This is an extremely busy road, with a 60mph speed limit, and having no lights on at night makes it difficult to see the junction when coming from the Leominster side. Is there a reason the lights don't work? It seems to me that it is only a matter of time until there is a serious accident here. This issue really needs addressing, along with the 60mph speed limit, which seems excessive at a junction which is actually a staggered crossroads. Thank you for your attention.

Sign on verge, 15th June
Hi
There is a sign that has been knocked to the floor that says ‘lower Lyde’. This is a road direction sign. The location of the sign is south bound just before the church at Lyde, on the A49 Herefordshire.
The pavement is also only just passable but I’m not sure if the hedge is the owners responsibility or Highways.
Also various brown tourist information signs have disappeared .: one was fir Kenchester Water Gardens but this may be due to payments etc:
Best regards
Emma Noble Clerk to Lyde Parish Council

Drain blocked, 5th October
The drain in the bus stop does not take water. This results in water from the A49 flowing into Church Road and has caused residential flooding. Despite this being reported numerous times, it appears although nothing is being done and the high risk of future flooding remains.
