The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of HP18 0XB:
Just before the sharp bend at the bottom of the road leading from Ashendon between The Old Station and Station Cottage, 13th April
There is a large pothole developing just before the bend causing traffic to move to the wrong side of the road in a dangerous location. This fault was repaired less than two weeks ago and failed within days. The repair was inspected by highways personnel on 4th / 5th April and deemed to be a failed repair but this has yet to be rectified. The original report was deemed to be a matter of urgency and was actioned in a timely manner and the remedial work now required needs to be similarly expedited.

In the turning point of lower green, 11th April
There has been surface water since we moved in and over the past 2 day the road is lifting more each day possible burst pipe

Roadside outside driveway, 1st April

Just before the sharp bend at the bottom of the road leading from Ashendon to Wotton Underwood, 25th March
At the bottom of the hill a new pothole has opened up between two stop cock covers. The tarmac has gone and the substrate is being eroded rapidly as vehicles encounter the pothole. The position of the pothole on the road is causing vehicles to deviate onto the wrong side of the road immediately before the sharp bend thereby increasing the risks of an RTA.

Pothole, 12th March
Between the new tarmac for the recently installed traffic light junction and the original road there is a very noticeable bump - on the top of which there is a bad pot hole. A41 towards Bicester.

Main Street, Ashendon - Main Road, Upper Winchendon, 4th March
The roads in and around Ashendon are closed sue to works, but this is causing a massive detour through Aylesbury, the works on Main St were meant to have been finished by now and people were even using it at the weekend as the machinery had gone - but seems like they are back again. Although we appreciate the works that are happening, they just need to be thought out more.

Large pothole before Woodham roundabout toward Aylesbury, 14th February
On the A41 by Woodham just before the roundabout going towards Aylesbury. It’s a large and deep pot hole more to the centre of the road.

The current Road Works sign near the cricket ground is obscuring traffic coming out of the adjacent lane. This a blind spot at the best of times but the placing of this sign is dangerous. Moving it further from the lane would prevent a potential accident., 13th February

Nasty and dangerous pothole, 7th February
Hi - a pothole by a manhole cover has opened up I think it was on the approach to the Westcott Rounadabout travelling on the A41 towards Aylesbury, travelling away from Bicester. It was either here or on the approach to the prevous roundabout with the service road to Greatmoor, apols as I was driving so couldn't take a photo but hope this is enough info. Traffic also swerving to avoid causing additional danger. Thanks

Significantly Dangerous Pothole, 5th February
This pothole is growing by the hour. Fix it today or you will have a potential serious accident on your hands. The A41 is in a disgusting state, all because of HS2. Get them to pay for a complete resurfacing from Bicester to Aylesbury, they can afford it!

Halfway between Ashendon and Westcott, deep pothole on the centre line., 4th February
EMERGENCY REPAIR URGENTLY REQUIRED, SEVERE HAZARD. A failed repair has left a rectangular pothole with a vertical step that is four inches deep in one direction of travel. There are 2 existing open reports on FixMyStreet, refs 5405159 [dated 06 Jan 2024], and 5529630 [dated 04 Feb 2024, but without a photo]. Possibly the worst and most dangerous pothole I have ever encountered. Bottle of water and yellow marker pen included in the photos for scale. Thank you.
