Street Light Out, 11th November
The lamp post outside the Bridge End House and Liar Close is faulty. For the past few weeks it has been flickering intermittently and on recent nights it's not been working at all.
I also noticed that the glass cover that surrounds and protects the bulb is missing.

Sign is falling from post and covered by shrubs and hedge, 21st June

In the lay by which is being used to store road chippings there is a dead dog or fox between the piles of chips set back by the wall. Only seen from my passing car. Been there since Friday afternoon.

Fly tipped Tyres X 3, 9th March
3 Vehicle tyres possibly Goods Vehicle or Agricultural have been dumped at the lay by on the Fountains Road at Ripley. The lay by is on the left heading towards Grantley/ Markington etc. It is about half a mile after the Mole Store Country Supplies shop. This road also has quite a bit of litter on the verges as does the main Pateley Road - B6165.

A crashed car left in a residential car park, 6th August
A young man had an accident in burnt Yates on Pateley bridge road on 12th July. Black Vauxhall Corsa registration number : YF55 LTE. After having crashed into another car he pulled his car in our residential car park, blocking the space away from the residents. The car is still here and we would like to use our numbered residential car spaces.

Tall grass and weeds restricting road vision on blind bend, 15th July
The grass on the side of the carriageway has not been cut for a while and it is restricting the vision as cars leave the village on a sharp bend.
It's a danger spot as cars part on Client Terrace and means you have to enter the bend on the wrong side of the road. When the grass is cut short - a driver is able to see through the farm fence and across the field to ensure no on coming traffic is approaching.
I have seen a number of near misses on the bend due to poor viability through the fence.
Just to be clear - it's only an issue for drivers heading out of the village towards Burnt Yates. So when sending someone to access the issue, make sure they take this into consideration.

Road sign bracket is damaged and sign fallen from the pole, 8th April
There is a road sign on the side of the carriage way that has become rusted over time. The bracket has now rusted so much that it has broken and the sign has become detached from the pole.
I believe the sign is used to warn motorists of a shape bend in the road over a narrow bridge.

Pothole, 30th January
There is a pothole location HG3 3JW on the left side of the carriageway. It measures approx. 15cm deep, 30cm wide and 40 cm long. Last week my front wheel went into the hole and very fortunately there does not seem to be any damage, despite the loud bang as the wheel hit it. It has been like this since 2011 as a Google map search shows it clearly. There is another pothole nearer to the centre of the road approx. 200 yards further on which is slightly smaller but deepening with the bad weather. It would be wonderful if they could be properly prepared and not merely patched up.

Pothole in carriageway, 9th December
When driving south along the road in darkness on the evening of Saturday 6 December 2014 one of my wheels hit a significant pothole in the carriageway. As I don't use the road regularly I don't know how long it has been there.
