Nasty pothole, 6th October
There is a pothole just before you come to the brow of the hill, you cannot see it until you hit it. It has grown considerably since the google street map view I posted. It is a fast road & should be maintained MUCH better. A nasty pothole, causing a heavy enough bump to jar my glovebox open. I hope my suspension is ok.

Closed junction, 14th February
People over take when they get to the hill before this junction and they see you pulling out and you can’t see them. There should be a solid white line and and sign. I’ve nearly had collision on more then one occasion and my did have one. You look left look right check left ago and by the time you pull out, you pull round the corner and some one has started to over take

Dangerous exposed raised ironwork, 22nd November
There is a very sharp exposed corner of a piece of ironwork just off the tarmac in the grass verge. This is quite a narrow section of road where it is often necessary to just touch on the grass when passing large vehicles. It instantly tore a hole in my partners tyre when passing an SUV. She was only travelling at a crawl as she had stopped to let them pass and was turning right at the junction.

Dangerous junction, inadequate line painting., 20th November
This junction is very dangerous, cars coming over the brow of the hill from the Harrogate direction travelling towards Skipton cannot properly see there is a turning and very often make an overtake manoeuvre when descending the hill towards the junction. Cars pulling out of Grayston Plain Lane turning left are looking more right than left to check for traffic on the carriageway they are pulling onto. This whole section from the brow of the hill to Grayston Plain Lane should be solid double white lines, preventing dangerous overtakes.

Farmer has sign up saying not to use the path, 8th October
The farmer has a sign up saying not to use the path "for health and safety reasons" but no diversion, no end date. Feels like they are simply trying to block access. Please inform the farmer of footpath rights, if it was temporary then there needs to be a proper explanation, an end date and a valid alternative.

Hollins Lane end of Chain Bar Lane there is a broken culvert, next to a poorly recently filled pothole., 6th August
The potholes were poorly surface filled on 30th July 2019. Due to high volume of traffic using Chain Bar Lane, the under Road culvert is liable to collapse causing further damage and increase in surface water on a busy and fast (60mph) Road, so a potential accident waiting to happen. When I questioned the workmen pothole filling I was told that they were only surface filling and I would have to report the culvert separately.
