Tree Preservation Order Application, 4th May
It is expedient in the interests of amenity to make provision for the preservation of the trees photographed, including Sycamore and Oak. They are used by many bird species, including crows and other Corvus birds who roost there at night. The trees are visible from the public pavements on Ridgley Road, Beech Close, Ash Combe and Oak Close as well as others. They are well established trees with an individual, collective and wider impact, including a social and personal sense of wellbeing. Their protection is also justified on the basis of nature conservation and in response to climate change.
