Wall collapse about to undermine road., 16th November
Site is, Frensham Lane, GU35 8TB. Immediately North of junction with Spatts Lane.
Frensham Lane was recently resurfaced. At the point described the lane is 2-3 feet higher than the driveway on the East side of the lane that serves Tignals Farm (my house) and Tignals. The bank between the lane and driveway is 3 feet or less wide and retained by a Grade 2 listed brick wall. Since resurfacing this wall is failing, and engineers state it is in imminent risk of catastrophic collapse. When it falls, the bank behind will collapse, undermining Frensham lane causing immediate and extreme danger to road users. The wall failure was noticed on the 10th November, and has moved significantly since. It is now resting firmly against a High Voltage SSE power pole and it's cable stay, threatening this too. This issue has been raised as an Emergency with SSE who are to attend today (16/11/23).
There is a mature tree in the failing bank adding to the issue. It is my engineers opinion that the tree must be removed before effective repairs can be made to the listed wall to prevent further collapse.

The pot hole is very large and is all the way around a manhole cover it’s in the middle of road and is about 9 inches deep it’s too wide to drive with it in middle of car so you have ti go on other side of road it’s an accident waiting ti happen had been like this for about 6 weeks now

Pothole, 16th May
The whole road is breaking up on this corner. Some weeks ago an attempt was made to fill some potholes but they have reappeared. The whole area on the corner needs resurfacing not just make do filling of holes. As you approach the bend the driver can’t see the holes on the corner and cars have to pull out into oncoming traffic to avoid them at the last minute.
