Very large pot hole, 17th April
Large pothole. Parking bays on the other side of the road mean it is impossible to avoid. Someone has even painted double yellow lines in the pothole without filling it first! Can’t make it up!

Temporary replacement sign damaged, 19th March
The temporary left hand turn sign that had been installed after my previous report of a missing sign, has now fallen off of its stand and is no longer visible. This is a sign warning of an unexpected and dangerous left turn into Beechcroft Drive.

In central verge - several large growths of Japanese Knotweed. Invasive and controlled plant. Needs eradicating., 6th March
Located in the central verge between north and south bound traffic along the A3 can be found several large growths of Japanese Knotweed. This needs to be eradicated by Highways England. It easily spreads and can damage underground infrastructure such a water, sewage, building foundations (houses and businesses are nearby), electrics, etc. I notice this issues was originally reported in 2021 in the same location. The report was closed by Highways England despite it still being a problem. It has no doubt spread in the last 3 years and is now a bigger issue and will cost more than if it had been dealt with promptly and thoroughly in 2021. Please organise an eradication plan. If it spreads, compensation claims by local property owners could cost you a lot more.

Massive potholes 20 inch wide, 21st February
This section of road needs resurfacing, it’s like a patchwork quilt with so many pothole repairs. There are now 3 massive potholes which you have to navigate round when driving which is difficult if there is the bus or another vehicle driving the opposite direction.

The sign warning of a left hand turning ahead is missing, 5th January
There is normally a sign on the northbound A3 to warn drivers of a left hand turn ahead, into Beechcroft Drive. The post appears to still be present but the road sign is missing. Beechcroft Drive is on a bend in the road so drivers need this sign to warn of cars turning into or coming out of this junction. I noticed this problem this week. The sign is between where the A31 joins the northbound A3 and Beechcroft Drive.

The traffic lights for the pedestrian crossing. Keep going red, even though nobody has pressed the button. They seem to go red about every minute or two. It looks like there’s something wrong with it.
