Hole in the road, 25th March
There is a hole opposite the gates to Sandilands Farm which was caused by water leaking from a broken sewer. The second hole and leaking sewer have been repaired by Southern Water but they missed this one as it was under the pile of material dug out in the works.

Exposed ironwork, 25th February
The repair around a drain is falling apart leaving a deep hold and exposing ironwork.
As I was walking past a local resident commented how bad it was and that lorries are making it worse. Could easily damage car tyres if they hit it.

Hedging encroaching on public highway, 7th November
The hedges of the properties on both sides of this road (from the bend near Home Farm to the junction with the A272) are over-grown, not attended to by the property owners, and have now removed approx. 1 metre of usable carriageway due to encroachment. The owners should be made cut back their hedges to the edge of their boundaries, or the work carried out and the property owners presented with the bill. A danger to road users, causing an already tight road to become unpassable for 2 cars at various points.

Costly damages to my vehicle, 17th February
The attached photos of the potholes in Fyning lane rogate gu31 5dj, have caused costly damage to my vehicle , I’ve had to buy two new tyres and have a shock absorber replaced the bill for all this has cost over £400

2ft wide and growing by the day Pothole. Very dangerous when raining as the road is flooded and you cannot see this 4inch deep pothole, 14th January
This pothole has been here and was reported by me on the West Sussex Council pothole report sit on the 17th December. Still not repaired.

2 potholes at A272 end of Fyning Lane, Rogate, opposite the old orchard/yew trees., 20th November
Potholes are difficult for cars/bus to avoid as road narrows, one is about 4 inches deep and about 18 long. Full of water so depth difficult for road users to assess. Been visible for 2 months but is now deteriorating rapidly.

Fallen tree partially obstructing the road, 18th February
A tree has fallen in the hedge on the left/east (downhill) side. It is about 5ft off the bank and sticks about 2ft into the road at almost head height. It is an unmarked obstruction and a car could strike it with serious damage to the roof. It is down the hill about 100m from Habin House on the right
