FIXMYSTREET IN GU15 2DJ
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of GU15 2DJ:
Overgrown vegetation starting to block pathway, 24th April
Hi, the vegetation is becoming overgrown on the footpath to the motorway footbridge again and needs cutting back severely!! I use it from the entrance at the junction with Russet Gardens - this is where it is at its worst. It is already approaching 6' high in places. Nettles are rife and usually end up blocking the pathway which people use to get to the local school and hospital. The vegetation is covering the pathway making it very narrow in places too so people have to walk in single file; this really needs to be cleared properly to widen the path back to the width it is paved to. This is starting to become an issue after all the rain we have had and being spring time. Whenever the job has been done in the past it is done poorly and inadequately - please send in workmen who are capable of clearing the area properly. I use this path daily and feel I will need a machete soon to get through the weeds and nettles! This happens EVERY YEAR yet the entire area is ignored. Please schedule regular maintenance of the entire area, not just one part.

House vibrating due to M3 roadworks, 19th March
Hi. I live on 49 Verran Road GU152ND. Since the M3 has been upgraded to a smart motorway (a few years now) my house has been shaking and I’ve been noticing cracks which I have repaired over time. Since the motorway has been closed for repairs Jan/Feb 2024, there was no movement or vibration at all. Since it has been reopened my house is vibrating/shaking a lot more than before I am very concerned. Kind regards. Manj Basra.

Potholes and very poor road surface, 19th March
Potholes continually appear along this small stretch of road surface in the direction of frimley. Potholes are filled in and new ones appear. Cars have to swerve to avoid, against oncoming traffic in the second lane. This has been a continual problem ever since a trench was dug and patched up. Please consider actually replacing the surface as filling potholes clearly hasn't worked. This has been a problem for months

Vegetation encroaching onto footh path/cycle path, 12th March
Re Footpath/Cyclepath from Portsmouth Rd to Hanson Close, in particular the stretch close to Ramsay Close has a reduced width of the cyclepath due to vegetation encroaching. Grpund level vegetation needs cutting back to redefine full width of cyclepath.
Also an issue with overhanging branches in that area.
Although the compact road sweeper has been thru lately all it seems to do is sweep loose leaves to one side rather than remiove them. Result is once weather dries out they blow back onto pathway.
