Location: Traffic lights at junction of SafeStore and service road to kings ditch. Lights are spending most time on green for the Safestore entry to junction. People NOT at the front of the queue (from both directions) have been observed leaving queue, overtaking queue, jumping lights (any colour). From North I observed a car using the WRONG side of the island. This is an accident waiting to happen.

Traffic light causing massive queues!!, 30th April
Queues are now forming backing up to Hyde Lane due to the traffic lights being set out of sync since the recent maintenance works. please change the lights to allow travel to follow properly again, this is a nightmare!!

Lights change back to red too quickly, 30th April
On my very slow approach southbound to these traffic lights this morning during rush hour, I witnessed the lights only remain green for around 10 seconds before returning to red for much longer, which happened four times in a row before I could cross the junction. This is causing extremely long tailbacks along Kingsditch Lane, Wymans Lane, and Hyde Lane due to the closure of Manor Road as there is now no other route to Tewkesbury Road from this side of Cheltenham. Please adjust the timings of these lights to prioritise traffic flow to help ease the sheer number of cars having to go past these lights.

Light sensor is not detecting vehicles problem, 30th April
Email received 30/04/2024: To whom it may concern,
Closure of Manor Road, Swindon Village has started today with considerable disruption and delay southbound on Wymans Lane and Kingsditch Lane.
Could you consider turning of the traffic lights at the Kingsditch Lane/Boulders/ B&M delivery yard to assist with this? Location as follows - https://w3w.co/tidy.jaws.half
These lights are routinely turned off during Gold Cup Week to assist with traffic flow so I don’t think they are that vital.

Lack of road closures signs and diversions, 29th April
Manor road and running road. Well done you’ve brought chaos to Swindon village and the rounding area. With manor road closed for 17 weeks and you had grid locked traffic constantly on Wymans lane from McDonald’s to Hyde lane under-bridge.If emergency services can’t get through and people are hurt because of this traffic. I hope there is a public enquiry into the decision maker. You seriously need to review the situation. Divert traffic if possible at evesham road junction and give plenty of road closure signs back to and on the approach of the double roundabout on Wymans lane and Kingsditch lane. It is very obvious you did no data gathering on how many vehicles use this area of cheltenham.

The sign is illegible problem, 29th April
No signs or warnings to say the road is closed this end, or road ahead closed with arrow on Runnings road. Vehicles are turning into the road and driving so far down, realising the road is closed. Then they are turning in the entrance to Spirax Sarco. This is dangerous, especially with HGVs being driven in and out of this entrance. Caller is worried something is going to happen, if this continues.

Incorrect timing on traffic lights is giving priority to small lanes off Main Road Kingsditch Lane. This is causing big tale backs coming off the Tewkesbury Road roundabout.

Blocked Drain, 29th April
The drain here in constantly blocked and after medium to heavy rainfall the water regularly exceeds the line in the middle of the road which causes a hazard to cyclists and car drivers alike. It's been like this for over 2 years.

Intermittent fault on pushbutton, 28th April
The pushbutton on the control box on the southerly side (Market St side) of the pedestrian crossing here seems to have a fault, which may be getting worse. A few weeks ago I pressed the button and it turned red, but a good while later the lights still hadn't changed, and I noticed the red light around the button had gone out, so I had to press it _again_. Yesterday I kept a close eye on it, and the red light extinguished _four_ times, i.e. I had to press the button _five_ times before the crossing actually stopped the traffic.

Blocked drain, 28th April
The drain pictured here is blocked as are a number of drains that are located around the roundabout. Would be good if all were looked at in the locality as must of the road gullies are already full of leave litter a mere couple of months since the road was resurfaced.

After mild rain there always seems to be a lot of surface water that reaches the middle of the carriageway and causes cyclists etc to take avoiding action into oncoming traffic.
