Lane is permanently flooded outside Goat House, 13th February
Lane is permanently flooded - road surface covered with run off water from outside The Robins (formerly Applegarth) and Goat House. The first problem is the water run off from ABOVE these properties - it seems to be coming from Woodpeckers Piece. Either way, it is pooling in the verge just above The Robins (Applegarth) and then running across the road to Goat House. This creates a permanent flood - it was there all through last summer. This winter, it has frozen several times causing a major ice hazard for cars, cyclists and pedestrians. The second problem is that this permanent surface water cannot drain away because the road drain outside Goat House is blocked and overflowing. This is causing further surface flooding all the way down the lane to Aldebaran at the T-Junction, especially when rainfall adds to the volume of water. There has been so much runoff from this drain that it has eroded a channel at the side of the road outside Middle Farm Cottages. Thirdly, there is a massive drainage issue when the water reaches the bottom of the lane at the T-junction outside Alderbaran. The water does not drain - it collects forming a huge pool maybe up to 8-10inches deep. It spans the entire carriageway. This is a significant danger to traffic and, by extension, pedestrians. Local schoolchildren cannot access their bus stop at the bottom of the village without wading through it. This has been a problem now for several years - it really needs acting on.

The road runs from Dibden Lane up to Frampton Farm and Frampton Farmhouse - it is a through road. I have been reporting issues for years but the road is at it's worst now - some low vehicles are finding it tricky to navigate.

Teddington Hands to Alderton, 20th December
This entire section of road from Teddington Hands roundabout to the turning to Alderton is well overdue some attention. Non existent cats eyes, poor white lines, pot holes and uneven surfaces along with poor signage makes this section a death trap when using. When pulling out from Willow Bank Road onto the B4077 you literally take your life in your own hands with speeding traffic. The whole section needs not only some TLC but a speed limit rethink especially past HobNails and the Alderton turning before someone is seriously hurt.
Lots more housing in Alderton means lots more traffic and the road network here is struggling badly.

> Please find attached pictures of the verges outside and adjacent to the old Manor farm. As you can see lockley homes have not reinstated or cleared the drainage channels from the road to the ditches.
>
> Prior to the building works these were outside plot 6/7 , one outside plot 1 and two on the opposite verge..
>
> Please arrange for these to be reinstated as soon as possible as we are now heading in to winter with the possibility of heavy rain and without the surface water being directed to the ditches this could cause additional flooding in the village..
>
> Could you let me know what action you intend to take, timescales and your reference number?
Many thanks
