Blocking visibility on road/junction (Grass/verge) problem, 1st May
Email received 30/04/2024: Hello.
I wonder if it would be possible for the grass to be cut along the verge from our house.
We live on Jordan hill, GL14 1LP, westbury on severn and the line of sight from our driveway is becoming dangerous due to the grass length. When looking down the road to see if it's ok to pull out the grass blocks any view of oncoming traffic that is traveling at 50+mph making it considerably more dangerous for all my family. Some of whom are new drivers. The grass was last mown in August 2023 and I was told by one of your officers that it is done twice per year, which just isn't true.
The area in question is to the right of our drive going along the A48 towards Newnham.

Multiple potholes, some as large as dinner plates and some as deep as 10cm, certainly sufficient to damage tyres or to twist an ankle if walking and down it, 29th April
There are two large and deep ones by the steps outside the Lyon pub and multiple up and down the lane, two were fixed this morning but they parked their van on the other two that were in my opinion deeper and larger

Pothole repair has failed again, 23rd April
Pothole repair has failed again - has recently been filled but now a large crater again. L/H carriageway as you come round bend headed towards Elton Corner and the garage (opposite the houses). Filled with water and have seen motorists swerve to miss it, having close calls with oncoming traffic. Dangerous.
