Nice new 60 Mph signs / Killer Potholes, 13th March
Why is this road not getting resurfaced as a matter of urgency? The council used this road as a diversion last year to accommodate the road closure on Ayr Road for the non cyclists to not cycle and the extreme damage it has caused the road is criminal. Its needs fixing and quick

Issue with automatic cycle sensors at traffic lights, 20th February
The automatic cycle sensors are taking far too long to identify a cyclist and change the signal to give them priority as per the design of the junction. At first when the junction went live it was happening almost instantly and cyclists were happy to use the cycle lane - however the timings seem to have been changed and often a cyclist is now kept waiting at a red light for 20-30 seconds, even when there are no cars using the junction. Cyclists will not therefore use the junction; instead remaining on the road. Please review this sequence and timings ASAP otherwise it will be used less and less and become pointless

Crime Scene Of Council Making, 28th January
Due to the roadworks on the Aurs Road which is extremly welcome development has unfortunatly created an absolutle nightmare scenario of cars using Fingalton Road/ Balgraystone Road as a rat run of epic proportions especially during the periods of 8.30am < 9.30 am. The road is too narrow for this volume of traffic. The soft verges are causing vehicles to have to be towed out and although i wouldnt know the number of accidents already happened the debris and abandoned cars suggest it a high number. Punctures are being seen all down the road as the edge of the narrow track is so sharp but un avoidable to get passed. This needs urgent attention and not the usual 30 day appraisel as somebody is going to get hurt on this road. It needs urgent filling on verges of at least hardcore? it needs even more of the added passing places due to some sections of long stretches of blind corners and super narrow hill bits of the road. the speed limit needs reducing, signs putting up that its a dangerous road , signs putting up that dont impact the width of the road etc etc. it needs more thought as a matter of urgency. it is a pure lottery as to if you make it through this road. for the record my place of work is directly off this road so i need to be using it but some of the vehicles using it should be stopped. This road need attention and quickly

Pure Carnage & Accident in the making, 10th January
This single lane stretch of road has become a total shambolic free for all of lawlessness . Already 1 accident by the third day and is it going to take a serious accident to actually get something done with immediate effect. Lorries, large vans with trailers and a continual flow of traffic , both ways means that it us virtually impossible to get from A to B safely. This report is not aimed or a critism of the work on Aurs Road as it should have been done years ago , but the lack of preparation leading up to this 12 months of closure means its an absolute disaster waiting to happen. Token gesture partial passing places next to deep ditches and soft verges is ensuring nobody is prepared to give way for fear of damage. This with a large proportion of car / van owners having little or no perception of there vehicle dimensions means its a lawless stretch of road which I think is still marked up as a 60mph zone and no real alternative detour sings. Only last year a council refuge wagon rolled over into a ditch at this location and yet nothing has been done to make this road safer for everybody. I have.just bought a dashcam but I just hope nobody gets killed or seriously injured in tge mean time. My work place is off this road so i have a valid reason to use it , others are just being lazy or inconsiderate but the level of abuse using this road this morning makes me glad I have at least a dashcam to show the idiots on this road

Crumbling road edges & potholes, 31st August
Hi,
A large stretch of Malletsheugh Road has large holes developing at the edges on both sides. Seems to be the gradual failing of a multitude of patches and fixes.
Particularly dangerous for cyclists trying to ride along the side of the road.
Regards Kyle
