50 yard stretch of potholes before the roundabout, 31st March

Sun, 31 Mar 2024 13:53:45 +0100
55.75214 -4.296267

This 50 yard stretch is a bone rattling gravel laden hazrd and it’s a matter of time before a cyclist comes to grief here - the surface is also dodgy at the next roundabout northbound. Lots of craters and a very uneven surface - cars thunder up behind you making it even more dangerous to slow down. Please it needs quite a substantial repair.

Loose manhole cover, 6th November

55.736395 -4.284854

The manhole cover is loose and clatters exceptionally loudly when cars drive over it. It’s so loud that it keeps me awake . Also the edge is elevated and if a bike were to hit it the driver would go over the handlebars

Three concrete blocks blocking public road, 8th February

Wed, 08 Feb 2023 13:07:29 +0000
55.756028 -4.275987

The homeowners of the end house on the left have placed 3 large concrete blocks on the public road outside of the property. This is also at the entrance to the ERC park. This restricts parking particularly for disabled park users. The blocks also stop mobility scooters, prams etc particularly when their car is parked in the entrance to the park, which is often . As it is a public road can ERC please have them removed. Thank you.

Dangerous oil leak, 10th December

Thu, 10 Dec 2020 11:28:45 +0000
55.742467 -4.272433

Hi there I’d like to make the council aware of a vehicle which is causing an environmental hazard and also a safety issue . The vehicle is parked up in various places in the park crescent Eaglesham Carpark behind the council owned flats the car is a blue Suzuki ignis registration SP02 YXF Firstly if you inspect you will see the vehicle is not road worthy which I understand is more a traffic police issue than a council issue . The car has 3 very soft under inflated tyres and the front passenger side tyre is completely flat down to the ground daily and gets pumped back up again - it obviously has a slow puncture which isn’t getting repaired. The vehicle despite the tyre issue is driven daily , and parked in various spaces in the car park behind the flats of park crescent , the car park is completely covered in large oil or petrol patches this vehicle leaves wherever it is parked . The vehicle profusely leaks oil or petrol all over the public car park - one elderly resident has recently slipped on the oil and my mum has walked oil in through her carpets. It is really ridiculous, my mother lives in a bought property in park crescent I believe the vehicle belongs to one of your council tenants in the flats . The Park Crescent car park only last year had a serious incident with cars going on fire and it’s only a matter of time before it happens again. The vehicle is sometimes parked with the front of the bonnet over lapping the pavement in one of the car park spaces , this has resulted in this oily substance not only pouring over the road but over the pavement too. At least two residents of the street have removed this oil off the pavement with a pressure washer in lockdown to keep it clean due to kids playing in the area but other residents can’t be used to clean this vehicles mess. My mums house garden hose will not reach the area to clean it so the most recent patch my brother covered it with some sand to help with slippage problems ( the majority of the residents in the crescent are elderly and this oil is really slippy ). I don’t believe other residents should be cleaning this mess on a weekly basis . Can the council please some and have a look at the state of the carpark caused by this vehicle . Thank you
