Pavement covered in gravel, 23rd August

Fri, 23 Aug 2019 15:18:31 +0100
56.150329 -3.869541

This road was recently resurfaced and the excess gravel was swept from the road but the pavement wasn't. The skid-risk has now transferred to the cycle path/pavement. Also the gavel makes it a lot more difficult to push buggies/prams along that section. That section is difficult as it is with the foliage, brambles etc leaning over, in addition the skid-risk signs are blocking the path in places as well. The worst bit is on the narrow bit by the bend, it also has branches and twigs laying on the path.

Vegetation blocking the sightlines for cyclists and pedestrians crossing the junction from the Old Alloa Road at Blackgrange roundabout., 23rd July

Tue, 23 Jul 2019 13:52:54 +0100
56.134646 -3.870526

Despite claims to the contrary the overgrown vegetation blocking the sight lines from the old Alloa Road cycle path to the junction at Blackgrange Roundabout has not been fixed. The pictures clearly show the danger of not being able to see vehicles on the road from the cycle route and this has now been like this for over three weeks. Please do not say this has been fixed when it has not in any way been fixed, please send a team out to cut back the vegetation as a matter of urgency.

Overhanging trees/bushes onto foot/cycle path, 30th July

Mon, 30 Jul 2018 09:58:23 +0100
56.149908 -3.875629

Overhanging trees/bushes onto cycle/foot path from Menstrie to Blair Logie. This particualrly affects cyclists as there are places where the overhang forces cyclists and also pedestrians very near to kerb putting them into potential conflict with vehicles especially lorries and buses that hug the kerb on this narrow section of road. It's been like this now for quite a few weeks. The path is very narrow along this section particularly on the bend where there is a lot of debris. Brambles are becoming an issue as they are at face level for cyclists. This section is from the Menstrie woods path to the Blair Logie car park

Huge quantities of top dressing chips covering the cycle path next to the A907 at Manor Powis together with dangerous heavy machinery operating within inches of commuting cyclists, 9th August

Wed, 09 Aug 2017 09:38:41 +0100
56.133486 -3.89573

To coincide with the Stirling festival of cycling someone thought it a good idea to use the main traffic free cycle route between Stirling and Alloa as a storage depot for huge quantities of top dressing material making cycling the route very dangerous. Please find an alternate site for these materials and ensure that the cycle route is left as you found it; not covered in gravel for the next year.

Sat, 26 Jan 2013 13:00:17 +0000
56.147054770506 -3.8874691288906

Previously Reported at 19:48, Thu 12 April 2012 concerning 200m from where Manor Loan meets the A91 at Blairlogie there was severe flooding for about 100m towards the Blairmains Farm Shop which eroded the already poor tarmac. Despite the then prompt patching of the potholes which was warmly welcomed recent wet weather has opened up a significant number of potholes which were prevously patched. This is an important access for the patrons of Blairmains Farm Shop and patrons are put off from using the road due to the number of potholes. While it is understood the pressures that your Service is under we would appreciate an early consideration to a longer term solution for this short distance of single track road. Thank you for your help in this matter. .

NCN76 cycle route blocked by dumping of gravel across route, 25th July

Mon, 25 Jul 2011 10:55:16 +0100
56.136412 -3.895703

The cycle route (NCN route 76) alongside the A907 is completely blocked at the roundabout junction with A91 at Manor Powis by the dumping of tens of tons of gravel across it. This looks like it is intended for road works purposes. It would be possible to dump and store this gravel in a way that didn't block the entire cycle route, but currently the only way past is over the side of the mound. I had to try and push a 45kg loaded touring bike around this obstruction. Whoever has tipped this gravel clearly has no concept that they were dumping it across, and blocking, a cycle path. Despite all the signs in the immediate area notifying of the path. This is a cycle path, this not a convenient storage ground for spare gravel. If there really is nowhere else to store this gravel, it should at least be stored in a way that doesn't completely block the path.
