The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of EX6 7PG:
Loads of pot holes, 3rd December
These have been here for nearly a year and i am having to drive my Car on the other side of the road to avoid them as they are so deep
Report on FixMyStreet
Gullies eithre side of road neeed clearing two ro three times a year to avoid water run-off destroying the nice new tarmac., 27th August
Clearing the gullies three times a year would dramatically reduce the need to resurface this sunken lane. Water runs down the road surface, then traffic digs up the tarmac; it happens every year.

Pothole caused by traffic and water egress from field with filled in pond, 9th November
This problem has been reported before. The pothole caused by water from field and no exit for it . These pictures were taken during a dry spell. Now it is rainy and has a strong potential for ice causing problems for pedestrians, horses and vehicles. It needs resolving and repairing properly not just a quick fill in fix..

Pothole linked to drain, 9th November
I have reported this before, some 2 months ago. No effort has been made to deal with it and we are now entering the ice season. On a road this narrow there is a real potential for accidents to either vehicles, pedestrians or horses.

Pot holes causing damage to private property, 7th May
This road was patched further down but these pot holes and ruts were not fixed. They are causing vehicles to drive too close to the stone wall in an effort to avoid the potholes and this has resulted in damage to the wall. If this road is not repaired the council should consider putting a width restriction on this road to ensure it is only used by suitably sized vehicles. This issue has been getting worse for the last six months.

A deep and growing bigger pothole, 22nd February
This started as smallish hole along the manhole cover but since there has been constant water from a blocked culvert at the bottom of nearby Bennah hill it has been getting worse and the narrowness of the road means all vehicles tend to crumble the edge all the time. The hole needs a substantial repair and the culvert needs a proper clear.

Several severe large potholes, 18th March
Several severe deep potholes, there are at least 7 in number which cannot be avoided even at low speed as the holes are very large positioned across the width of the single track lane. They are a hazard to all transportation including cycles and walkers. The potholes really need to be fixed now before an accident happens as they have been along this lane all winter for at least 6 months.

Blocked drain, 9th January
The drain outside the church blocks frequently, the water then runs down the middle of the road, it is extremely dangerous when icy. The pipe is not wide enough to take the quantity of leaves that continually block it. A sheet of brown water is then sprayed onto my front door and windows. It would be too expensive to dig up and replace the pipe with one of a wider bore. Opposite the church there is a concreted gulley that takes all the water with no problem; if the same were created on my side this would fix the problem permanently at lower cost than clearing the drain every few months, which is only very temporarily effective.

Potholes and general wear and tear damage, 11th August
Several roads/lanes in Christow have been resurfaced in last 12 months, several road/lanes are white marked to have attention.....except Dry Lane of which a large % is a severe mess, in particular where the road drops down to the Village School the tarmac is littered with potholes and missing tarmac areas. IF? there has been no accidents with children outside the school then it is amazing because there is an accident waiting to happen in particular when the sub zero winter weather starts. Please send somebody out to view the complete lane top to bottom. Thanks
