The developer at Northway farm has opened non-authorised service conduits in the filed to the south of Northway lane which are taking surface runoff and discharging sediment laden water at high flow to the highway drain grid (as shown). At lower flow water leaks into the highway drainage via an informal connection.

Lots of rubbish/recycling fallen out of refuse lorry, 30th September
Rubbish from the refuse lorry falls out as they drive along this unclassified road, north of the A39 between Horns Cross and Hoops. Every week it gets worse, and it's not the wind.

Numerous potholes, 1st March
Numerous potholes on both sides of lane making it very difficult to avoid them especially when they are full of rainwater. The potholes are now quite deep making driving hazardous and likely to cause damage to cars.

Extra large number of deep pot holes,well within guide lines for URGENT attention, 28th February
As in summarizing problem, the pot holes are very deep and irregular which make them difficult to miss even if you know they are there. Vehicle damage at the least can be expected if unaware of the problem and if holes are full with rain water. Tony Cathcart

Blocked drain, 10th February
Road flooding due to blocked drain at EX39 5DN allowing stream from field to overflow onto A39. This has been ongoing since for last week at least.

Dead cat - run over, 28th May
White/grey cat has been placed on the hedge, on the south side of A39, just on the east side of the garden perimeter of house named Trelawny & opposite east garden perimeter of Greenfields. Found in road & put there by a passing motorist who made local enquiries as to ownership.

Danger of blocked drains/flooding, 1st September
A quantity of straw has been lining the sides of the unnumbered lane on the north side of the A39 at EX39 5DN for several days, waiting for the next downpour to wash it into and blocking the drains on the lane and the A39 causing flooding.

Temporary road sign left behind, 13th July
Following work on the water main on the A39 at EX39 5DN about 3 weeks ago, a road sign, traffic cone and 3 sand bags have been left behind. They are at the cross roads & a couple of sand bags ten yards west.
