The Devon County Council was warned a year ago and nothing only to say it was not bad enough well now its time to act as the stones that are flying out of this crevise is hitting passers by and hitting parked cars this has to stop ! Location is A399 Victoria Street outside Lynton Cottage.

Wheelie bins, 14th November
Sherbrook, 13 Woodlands, Combe Martin, the owners this property leave there two wheelie bins permanently in the road, resulting in traffic having to step out into the middle of the road to avoid. This has been ongoing for at least a month.

Large potholes at this location and further towards Combe Martin, 1st June
Pothole has been there for many months and is increasing in size on a weekly basis. People are driving on the wrong side to avoid it. It has potential to case an accident not only damage vehicles particularly on the national speed limit stretch.

Ford Ka - Parking on pavement, 9th May
A silver Ford Ka is parking in the evening and into the morning on the pavement. This blocks the pavement next to the bus stop. The bus stop is used for school transport pick ups. The car effectively prevents children walking along the pavement and means that they have to cross into the road to get around it. This is dangerous as there is a blind bend just before. The owner of the car leaves just after 8:15 each morning.

Multiple potholes around the bend, blocked drains causing water to overflow across the road, was reported as an ice hazard months ago, still not sorted !, 12th March
Cars on wrong side of road now as several deep potholes have been washed out by the constantly overflowing drains. Lethal for motorcyclists and bicycles. Another series of big holes just a bit farther up the bend caused by poor drain maintenance again.

Numerous Giant Hogweed close to footpaths and cyclists on road, 8th July
The stretch of A399 between Hele and Berrynarbor has several giant hogweed plants, adjacent to footpath and very close to cyclists on the road. Last year, they were treated, but this year have been left to flower and topple over creating a hazard to passers by.

Flooded, blocked drain, 4th January
The road is flooded, presumably from the drain being blocked. It is flooded just passed watermouth castle on the way to Combe Martin from Ilfracombe by big meadow campsite. It has been going on for over a week
