Near Lamppost 23 hole in pavement opened up, 23rd February
Just by lamppost 23 on Marine Parade a deep hole has opened up in the tarmac pavement. This is new and it looks as if the underpinning has been washed away by the sea. Needs a bit of care fast before spreads.

B3233 heading towards Bideford at yelland ( just past midway motors) huge dangerous pothole approx 12" diameter on a corner, 9th December

Flooded pavement, 27th November
The pavement near the Rectory Lane bus stop has been flooded for a while and is impassable. As a result, the grass verge is now worn down to mud and very slippery. Now that the hedges have been cut back (been over 18 months) the whole stretch of pavement now needs clearing of algae, weeds and mud to stop it from being slippery.

A car ran into our wall on the corner and must have caught the lamp post as its now a bit wobbly.

Loose gatepost at Yelland Power Station, 1st September
The gatepost on the Instow side of the Tarka Trail - Yelland Power Station road crossing has become loose in the ground. As such the gate cannot swing freely open and closed, making it harder for walkers and cyclists to cross the road. The gate catches on the ground when open and so is left there and could be hazard for users of the path.

Dog fouling at epidemic proportions, 20th June
The beach is littered with dog mess.
Dog owners let their dog's foul with impunity and if approached become aggressive, swear at you or threaten violence.
I won't be taking my grandchild there again.
Please pursue these people it really is awful.

Sand on road, 30th January
There are now large amounts of sand on Marine Parade. The County Council do not seem to read the weather forecasts and time removal poorly. When it is removed it is simply piled on to the existing dunes. It needs REMOVING some distance from the area.
A new strategy needs to be adopted urgently to overcome this problem.

Large pot holes in Lane End Road, 30th January
Increasingly large pot holes on Lane End Road (between Stoneywell and White House Close) where it is single lane passing. Situation has existed for months but holes are now large enough to cause vehicle damage.
