There is a beautiful mature Silver Birch (I think that's what it is) in the front garden of No. 6 Springfields, Colyford, that needs protecting., 11th June
The present owners of No. 6 Springfields, Colyford (EX24 6RE) love the tree, we are concerned that in the event that the property is sold the new owners could simply cut down this magnificent tree. Our estate is laid out with open plan front gardens so it feels more like a communal area than individual gardens. This tree deserves protecting. Over the past few years we have seen several houses change hands only for mature trees to be felled. Houses being bought with the trees in place then the new owners simply clear them out as if they do not matter. The tree is away from the property in a position that could not be built on etc. etc. so leaving it in place makes sense. Please, help us to protect our trees and neighbourhood.
