Uneven road surface repairs, 22nd September
Several weeks ago rolling road repairs were done to the A39 southbound on the straight stretch between Wainhouse Corner and j/w B3263. A stretch of approx. 2 - 300 yards is extremely poor. The stretch consists of approx. 10 - 12 foot segments and where each one is joined there is a ridge similar to a small speed hump. It is distracting to car drivers and dangerous for motor cyclists whom, I have seen hug an 18" clear strip next to the central line of the carriageway to avoid the humps and putting them extremely close to oncoming traffic - a dangerous place to be.
