This whole road surface has been fixed many times but the patches have long since gone. council redid the road surface the other side of the luppit road but not this side. awful to drive on

This stretch of road towards honiton direction is terrible. the whole top layer is falling apart and many holes are appearing, some shallow and some larger.

On the 2nd February my car hit a pothole measuring some 3 feet by 2 feet on the Honiton-Smeatharpe road approximately 80 meteres south of the turn off to Luppit. The hole extends well into the carriage way and caused significant damage to my car's front nearside wheel - I was unable to swerve to avoid it as another car was on coming in the opposite direction- had I been driving a motorcycle it would have caused a major and possibly fatal accident.
