Large tractors and dung spreaders have been travelling through the village damaging the posts protecting the brook. The road edge and brook wall are now breaking up. The damage in my view should be claimed from the known farmer causing the damage.

Roadside bollard has been knocked into the brook adjacent to the road on Chapel Street., 2nd August
The bollard and two kerbstones are lying in the brook and are a flood risk should there be a sudden downpour. The road edge is compromised and is a pedestrian risk. The bollard is also a road edge marker.

Blocked drain. Water flowing past and onto to road, 3rd April
This drain (in Church Street) has been blocked for some time. All the water and debris which flows down Higher Lane causes it to fill with gravel etc. The gully should be emptied regularly but I'm pretty sure it isn't.

4 street lights not working, 11th December
The 4 street lights in the straight section of Thomas Bassett Drive have not been working for over a week - I reported the problem last Monday, by telephone.

These potholes have been getting worse for several months now, and are becoming very dangerous.

Massive pothole very dangerous, 7th February
There is a huge pothole near the edge of the road, which is very dangerous for both cars and cyclists. Especially when it's full of water like it was this morning!

Trees & Hedge overgrowing road, 1st July
Trees & hedge are encroaching on the road, between Ruffold House & Cole's Mill, and when a large vehicle passes along this two way marked section heading towards Colyton, the vehicle has to take up at least a quarter of the opposite side of the road, driving into oncoming traffic along a windy section of road with no footpaths for pedestrians. The trees and hedge need cutting back a good distance from the road i.e. not just to the boundary, and become a nuisance again this time next year.

Pothole, 26th January
Very large pothole on the B3172 road into Seaton. I was driving into Seaton on 25/01/10 at about 9pm when I hit the pothole which is situated on a blind corner. Thinking nothing was wrong, I continued into Seaton and when I got out of my car, I noticed that my wheel had been bent by the pothole and air flowing out of the tire. I cannot afford to pay for a new wheel and rely on my car to travel to work. I was not able to get a photo of the pothole due to it being dark and the nature of the road.
