ISSUE: Members of the community have repeatedly highlighted the High St area as an area of concern for anti-social behaviour. This includes cannabis smoking in the High St and surrounding streets and begging on the High St. The team is committed to making the High St a safe and enjoyable place for the community to enjoy.
ACTION: Officers have been conducting targeted patrols of the High St both in uniform and plain clothes. As a result of this a number of community protection warnings have been issued to those aggressively begging on the High St.

ISSUE: The ward panel identified concerns over drug use and anti-social behaviour in this vicinity. Police will seek to address this using a number of tactics. We will work collaboratively with the local authority and the premises owner in order to deny the use of this space to those who commit these offences. We will conduct regular targeted patrols in collaboration with the community safety team and we will establish ongoing lines of communication with local residents to ensure that we have a full and current understanding of the situation.

New Metropolitan Police priorities and concerns for this neighbourhood will be published here once they are announced by Metropolitan Police through the data.police.uk portal.
