Missing footpath, 2nd April
The footpath across Hillyfields Park ends at a dangerous bend on Phipps Hatch Road. Pedestrians (especially those with wheelchairs or pushchairs) are obliged to walk on the road and try to cross to safety on the nearest drive way. This is right at the most dangerous place on the road with poor lines of sight and often busy with traffic. THIS LOCATION IS A FATALITY ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN! The solution is to extend the tarmac footpath about 20 metres in a southwesterly direction to facilitate a safer crossing for all users.

Numerous potholes, 2nd April
The potholes cause the traffic to weave from side to side which narrows the clearance. Sooner or later, an unsighted pedestrian will get hit by a weaving car!

Illegally parked cars, 16th March
For the past two and a half years the Primitive Butcher Shop on Acacia Road and the Two Brothers Motorcycle garage have been using the double yellow lines on the entrance to Acacia Road as their own business parking for clients and staff. Despite complaints for the past 2 and a half years the council has failed to address this problem. The Primitive Butchers also sells alcohol for consumption on its premises without the proper licensing. It seems that if a British citizen or company broke the rules as blatantly and chronically as this, they would quite rightly be brought to brook speedily and effectively. However it seems this council turns a blind eye to problems such as this creating a strong sense of grievance among the community.

Illegally parked cars, 19th February
For the last two years the Primitive butcher and the two brothers motorcycle garage have used the double yellow lines at the entrance to Acacia Road as their own private parking area. Safe in the knowledge that Enfield Council can do nothing to deter them or enforce the rules that we are all supposed to follow. In this photo the butcher’s vehicle has had its emergency lights on for the past three hours. Obviously there is no emergency other than they didn’t want to walk far from their vehicle to their place of work. Their friends and partners in the motorcycle garage park their bikes up close to the front and rear of the van to help obscure the license plate. One rule for them and another for us.
