Golf course drainage, 5th April

Fri, 05 Apr 2024 21:38:45 +0100
55.922723 -3.515448

During heavy rain periods (which happen often) huge volumes of water comes off the golf course and on to the A89. Due to the many trees situated along the golf course edge the drains get blocked almost straight away with leaves. This forces all the water to continue down the road over the inersection of station road (which has recently been resurfaced) and into drains further down the A89. This issue has been on going for years and something needs to be done to control the water flow. The water is causing damage to the road due to the volume it comes down with a lot of force. A large pot hole has been created (reported seperatly). There is a constant trail of stone chips and debris down the side of the road which is causing unnecessary damage to my car. I live less than a minute away from this affected area. Either West Lothian Council or Uphall Golf Course needs to take responsibility for this and implement a solution. Perhaps land drains dug into the space between the edge of the course and the road would be appropriate. I know that not all water can be stopped going into the road way. I advise who ever deals with this to attend on a heavy rain day and you will see the volume and force of water and the damage it’s causing

Car parked on bend of junction, dangerous, 1st April

Mon, 01 Apr 2024 17:56:22 +0100
55.900883 -3.549796

Red car is parked on corner of junction, sometimes it sticks out past junction making cars have to cross the road to get past, can't see cars coming out of the junction, kids run out from that junction and that car blocks the safety view. Interferes with bin lorry days as it blocks their view. Very dangerous. People have asked them not to park there as it's dangerous aa your not meant to park within 10 meters of a junction, but they don't care and keep doing it.

Nettlehill Road, Houston Industrial Estate, Livingston. Nettlehill Road is a Long Road which runs south to north then east to west as you will see from the map, this area is a constant dumping ground, Mr Jim Allan of West Lothian Litter Pickers could validate my claims. I re-iterate that the Netting attached to perimeter fences could prevent Wind Blown Litter from travelling further afield.

Accumulation of Litter Waste, 4th March

Mon, 04 Mar 2024 15:34:53 +0000
55.904849 -3.51821

Hi Folks, Earlier today, I nipped into Aldi Knightsridge in Livingston, West Lothian, I made a +VE solution suggestion to the Aldi Store Attendant in that Micro Netting - See 2nd Picture Attached, could be attached around the Aldi Stores Perimeter Fence hence preventing the wind dispersal of the Litter Waste spreading further. The Aldi Store Attendant mentioned that they employ someone to carry out this task, this has been an on going problem with the Aldi Knightridge Store since construction, It may be that Aldi Staff clean the Aldi Car Park only, however, during high winds there is obviously going to be Wind Dispersed Spreading of the Litter Waste to a wider area which is very evident. THIS IS NOT WEST LOTHIAN COUNCILS FAULT. Prevention Will Always Be Better Than Cure & would the Green Micro Netting seen on the Picture Attached be a more effective solution environmentally?
