Hazardous Road Conditions, 5th December
This section of the single carriage way is extreamly hazardous at times. There is a very high volume of mud/dirt being discharged from the riding stables into the carriage way. On icy mornings/days there is also a dramatic increase to the skid risk as water is discharged from the stables and causes large puddles to form making an icy patch. The increase of water discharge from this area also appears to be causing increased verge damage and surface breakup.

Polluting stream, 25th August
See the riding stables based around here washing buckets in the water stream here. Surely this can’t be ok and is classed as polluting the waterways? Looks like feed buckets they are cleaning out. Also notice that there is pipe work in the stream where they are taking water from the stream to use for the horses both in fields and on the main yard. There is a lot of water run off and mud from the yard area as well onto the road and the road surfaces at the edges keep breaking up creating large potholes.

Water, mud and holes, 15th July
This section of road next to the riding stable often has a considerable amount of water running out of it where they appear to be washing horses. The previous patches that have been done are in a poor condition, undoubtedly exaggerated by the water the stables discharges onto the road.

Road surface as you enter/exit the 30mph zone at Walkerburn has become atrocious. Due to this area being prone to flooding & in conjunction with the recent harsh weather conditions, parts of the road surface here have completely broken down. Both lanes are littered with potholes, cracks and debris. The road surface is uneven and bumpy for about 100yards and only a matter of time before it claims a few tyres/suspension!
