Large hole in road hump on entrance to Kirk Road, Aberlady, 20th February

Fri, 20 Feb 2015 10:42:15 +0000
56.007856 -2.864897

There's a large hole in the road hump just after entering Kirk Road from West Mains Street, Aberlady. This could easily cause damage to cars - particularly if the drivers are not familiar with the area and don't know to avoid it. Although not a cyclist, I think it could be a major hazard to them. The hole has been there for over a year.

Thu, 11 Oct 2012 22:52:32 +0100

Water perpetually drains down to the dip at the corner of kirk road, aberlady. The drain on the road is too high, being positioned some 5 metres back, northwards, along kirk road. This causes lots of standing water and causes risks for pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles negotiating the corner whilst attempting to avoid the standing water

Flytipping on "Private Property", 7th November

Fri, 07 Nov 2008 20:30:55 +0000
55.9899366163972 -2.89127341669445

Back in 2004, while on a long jog to my grandparents, I decided to take a route through beautiful Gosford Woods. As I approached the area which used to be an entrance/exit for the sawmill, I came across a myriad of differing things. I found 2 cookers, 1 fridge, over 4 tyres, engines, oil, petrol cans, batteries, bin bags, old hay bales, and much more. I reported this to SEPA back in 2004 and again in 2006. Both times, they made it clear they didn't want to know because it was "private property" owned by Lord Wemyss. I tried to tell the Estate Office, and they, like usual, couldn't care less.

Potholes at Craigielaw, 28th October

Tue, 28 Oct 2008 12:12:12 +0000
56.0074820498989 -2.87441610089724

Althought some of the potholes on the road leading up to Craigielaw have been fixed, a great deal of potholes and ditches on the roads immediately outside and along the houses remain there. These holes are like UFO craters, and play havoc with car suspension. They get filled with puddles which make cars ridiculously dirty.
