Junction too wide at Aberlady, 17th November

Sat, 17 Nov 2018 20:59:05 +0000
56.016945 -2.837495

The side road here needs to be drastically narrowed where it meets the A198. It should also be offset slightly, so that people heading south on the A198 need to slow down more before turning into the side road. Earlier today I saw a driver turn left from the A198 at a ridiculous speed, easily in excess of 60mph. Since I was waiting to turn right (on my bike), this was terrifying. If the driver had reached the junction a few seconds after me, rather than a few seconds before me, they could easily have killed me.

Large hole in road hump on entrance to Kirk Road, Aberlady, 20th February

Fri, 20 Feb 2015 10:42:15 +0000
56.007856 -2.864897

There's a large hole in the road hump just after entering Kirk Road from West Mains Street, Aberlady. This could easily cause damage to cars - particularly if the drivers are not familiar with the area and don't know to avoid it. Although not a cyclist, I think it could be a major hazard to them. The hole has been there for over a year.

Thu, 11 Oct 2012 22:52:32 +0100
56.004649120125 -2.8628958794548

Water perpetually drains down to the dip at the corner of kirk road, aberlady. The drain on the road is too high, being positioned some 5 metres back, northwards, along kirk road. This causes lots of standing water and causes risks for pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles negotiating the corner whilst attempting to avoid the standing water

Pot hole - deep enough to damage bicycle wheels. My wheel has had to have a rim replaced and a companion suffered a puncture. The pothole is on the northbound (eastside) of the A198 between Gullane and North Berwick, north of the club house and south of the curve before Luffness House. Between the side of the road and about 2m out.

Potholes at Craigielaw, 28th October

Tue, 28 Oct 2008 12:12:12 +0000
56.0074820498989 -2.87441610089724

Althought some of the potholes on the road leading up to Craigielaw have been fixed, a great deal of potholes and ditches on the roads immediately outside and along the houses remain there. These holes are like UFO craters, and play havoc with car suspension. They get filled with puddles which make cars ridiculously dirty.
