Road closure not registered., 10th June
Shotton Lane, is featured on Google Street View, with two obstructions fixed to the road, possible installed by the Council. However the change from being a public highway, to a walking lane, is not recorded or listed with Ordnance Survey (OS) maps, a government agency, as there maps still show this as a road for vehicles, and no restricted access.
Unsure if these obstructions are legal, or the change in road has been correctly registered from highway to path? Confirmation would be great on;
1. When obstructions installed. 2. Why not updated on OS maps. 3. If changed, when done, who by, what reason, where was this done, why done. 4. Why road signs and markings still installed, if not a highway. 5. There is however a no through road for vehicles (Highways code) sign, with an information sign indicating except cycles, this would indicate, walking along it, or riding a horse along it, is prohibited.

There is a car that is constantly parked over the path, making it impossible to pass without having to walk on the grass, which has now turned into a muddy bog. People with pushchairs or mobility scooters are sure to find it very difficult to pass. It's not even a legal parking space, who ever parked there, has to have driven over a field to get there.
