Needs a new 'parking for residents only' road sign, to stop wrongful parking of non residents, to allow residents to park especially disabled drivers., 20th February
The sign in the dg4 6bd area is bent over and has some paint over it and is clearly old. Non residents are parking their cars and work vans in the residents few parking spaces. As some residents are either elderly or disabled, they cannot get parked in a space designated for them. A new ' parking for residents only' sign is clearly needed as a matter of urgency.

Potholes, 23rd January
The potholes on this stretch of road have become so bad that it is almost impossible to avoid them. As they cover both side of the road the only way round some of them is to take into the grass verge. When the rain lies on the road and covers the holes it is very hard to remember where they all are. Anyone who is not familiar with the state of the road could do serious damage to their vehicle.

Potholes and damaged surface, 23rd March
The road between Crawfordjohn and Crawick (Sanquhar) is currently in atrocious condition, with as number of very large, deep potholes as well as many smaller ones and large patches of very rough, ridged and broken road. This is dangerous to my car and myself. Several times in recent weeks, I have been forced to go through potholes or over the broken road, either because of oncoming traffic, or because there is simply no way of avoiding them. If I do not lose a tyre to the A708 Selkirk to Moffat road, then I will lose one to this road. I know they are a headache to the council, but I cannot afford any more repairs to my car. Please fix them. My 72 mile journey (each way) to work in Sanquhar Academy involves 49 miles on D and G roads, 29 of them in lousy condition and 20 on the M74. You are costing me money and grief.
