You must obtain written consent from Shropshire Council prior to any works being undertaken which may affect the surface of a right of way. It is a criminal offence to wilfully obstruct or interfere with the surface of a public right of way without lawful authority. The council will need to be satisfied that the new surface will be appropriate and that it will not have a detrimental impact on the public’s enjoyment.

Various potholes and major surface breakdown of the road surface., 4th March
Various potholes making it difficult to avoid driving through them in cars and the surface has broken down across the width of the road for about 10-12 mtrs causing deep standing water, it’s difficult for anybody on foot to walk up the road and increasingly difficult for cars to drive up and down.

Potholes across the road, 3rd March
Problematic potholes across the road. There are pothole problems from here at the bottom of the hill in Cleeton St Mary to just past the cattle grid towards Wild Meadow Boarding Kennels. They all need addressing as they are dangerous and causing damage to vehicles. i

Several potholes on this part of the road. Its really difficult to avoid them as on opposite sides of the road when driving, could cause serious damage if you weren't aware they were there

A variety of sizes of potholes from about 30cm - to across the whole of the track, 1st March
The drainage along the track is a constant issue which causes erosion leading to numerous potholes and standing water across the entire track for several months of the year. The track is a BOAT that the council have responsibility to maintain ( confirmed by council in writing via email). The current issue apart from the huge potholes is the ruts in the track are causing damage to the underside of vehicles scraping on the bottom of the track.

Ditch unable to take large amounts of rainwater away, 8th February
The ditch takes large amounts of water from Clee Hill and when it gets to the sub standard drainage pipes it floods the road. Ditch needs digging to allow the flow of water on the easterly side of the road. The ditches are well maintained and removed of all rubbish within our boundary.

Gate post broken on cattle grid, 4th February
The post the gate post is broken and the rails are missing on the side of the cattle grid. It is hazardous to open and close also has it doesn’t close right the sheep could get out from the common.

Blocked ditch resulting in constant surface of water on the road, 15th January
Due to the ditch being blocked there is water sitting on the road, when rains it does cover the road completely. Due to the recent cold weather which is still lingering it makes the road covered with black ice, very slippy and dangerous. The water has no where to go but to sit on the roads. The worst bit is infront of the village hall but stems from The Birches all the way down to past village hall, past two houses on the right and down to the passing place on the bend.

36 x 24 inch rectangular pothole - invisible due to rain., 10th December
It's being hit by virtually every vehicle heading south east along Cleeton Lane, as it is full of water and getting deeper each day. The pothole is opposite Cleeton village hall. It's been there for about a week or so.

3 drains in vicinity of Cleeton Court are blocked and causing flooding across road and onto the house driveway, dangerous due to ice forming caused by floodwater. 1st drain is by pathway opposite house, 2nd drain blocked in front of house, 3rd drain by barn conversation is also blocked.
