Entire length of romsley lane covered in mud, 6th March
Caused by inadequate signage during recent road works which resulted in hundreds of vehicles cutting through all the lanes where they could rather than following the official diversion. Verges all destroyed and resulting mud dragged into the lane, causing a skid hazard. Needs doing ASAP please.

Damage to Romsley Lane after A442 road closures, 5th March
The road closures on the A442 over the last few weeks have resulted in vehicles, including HGVs, travelling along Romsley Lane in both directions to get round the road closure. This has resulted in massive further damage to the road surface and created even more potholes. The verges of the lane have been turned into mud baths where vehicles have tried to edge past each other. Could you please come and repair the lane? In future it would be a good idea to position a Police Officer at the bottom of the lane to turn back HGVs and send them on the published Diversion Route.

Disgusting state of road surfcace, 1st March
This report is further to my earlier report of the same problem for which nothing has been done and now the road surface and potholes are much much worse, this has not been helped by much more traffic using Romsley Lane due to the ongoing road works on the A442 and the road closed signs being ignored. As this problem is on the Shropshire/Worcestershire border there is a noticable difference in the quality of the road surface, why can Worcestershire council maintain their section of the road far better than Shropshire and they also respond to reports of damage much quicker! As this lane has been used as a motorway recently a roadsweeper is badly needed there is mud everwhere!
