Flooding by drains being blocked, 15th March
The A30 has been retaining water across the carriageway for several weeks due to two drains on the south side being blocked, despite the area around each drain having been cleared away last year, I believe. Were this to freeze it would be extremely hazardous. The drains seem full even when it is not raining. The area is on the A30, east of Crackmore Farm and west of the bottom of Crackmore Cutting.

This drain has been full of silt for months and now is flooded again making the road and access to properties impassable to smaller vehicles. Needs sucking out to allow rising waters over winter to prevent continuous flooding and disruption. Have lived here 8 years and never had issues like we have in the last months with flood water.
