Very large pothole, not visible until it's too late!, 30th January
Driving home from a very busy nursing shift at crewkerne hospital at approximately 15.25 on Monday the 29th of January I hit this pothole causing a big tear in my front passenger side tyre, I then had to pull over on the side of busy road, using my hazards to try and prevent my car being hit by on coming vehicles, which may I add not one had stopped to see if I was okay! being a young woman stood in a hedge on my own, trying to get signal on my mobile to call for help in the rain! I own a 2011 seat Ibiza which only come with a repair kit for a tyre and not a spare wheel, but as the damage of the tyre was too severe it wouldn't have done the job anyway nor would it have been safe to do so at the point I had to stop my car. This resulted in me having to get recovery men from bridport TOP GEAR LTD to tow my car a couple miles down the road, this cost me £40 on its own and that's not including the tyre I still yet have to pay for or the lift to work at 6am the next day and back home again. So this pothole all in all cost me £110 to recover the car and a new tyre and fitting, it's very upsetting to think I have to pay all this on my nursing wage especially with all the trouble the NHS are going through at the moment and also the fact that my road tax will also be paid on the 1st of February of £70 for 6 months, and what for!? I really do hope this gets resolved and look forward to hearing your response.
