Inconsiderate parking, 5th March
Inconsiderate parking in this cul de sac and on the corner is making it considerably difficult and dangerous to get out of the driveway and see the road ahead. No thought whatsoever is given to any resident wishing to get in or out. Even a Fire engine recently had difficulty in turning there due to cars blocking the way. An accident waiting to happen.

A large amount of "soil" needs to be removed from the road, 28th February
The eastern kerb of North Street, Charminster between the Gamekeeper, past the end of Wanchard Lane as far as Hayden Farm is full of mud. It has been there so long that I notice some blackthorn and grass has started to grow in it. The mud probably flows down from Wanchard Lane and vehicles going to the Depot or Charminster Farm. When it is wet, mud splashes onto the narrow adjacent path.

Urgent fixing - Playground Great Field Poundbury, 30th June
Sadly, it seems that some of the wire / material used to ensure safety at the playground on the Great Filed is missing. Older kids are climbing out the windows of the Butter Market structure, fun for them but it makes it very precarious for younger ones being allowed to climb up on their own. Apologies, I didn’t get a chance to see if wire / material is missing on any other structures. The attached photographs show the issue quite clearly.

Road noise in Wrackleford., 20th August
The ever-increasing weight of traffic on the A37 has now raised the noise in Wrackleford to an unacceptable level for much of the day. The solution would be to resurface the road with a "silent" covering, as found in many locations in Dorset (and promised for this stretch of road 20 years ago) and to reduce the speed limit from 50 mph to 40. It has become very difficult at busy times to exit the properties in Wrackleford.

Footpath still closed, notice saying it should have reopen ed on 28th may., 19th August
Obviously there is ongoing building work on the Charminster Farm development but no provision for the 2 foot path that have been closed and the permission shows that it should have reopened by the 28th of May. This forces people to walk along the main road which isn't so good. Worried that developers are going to think nobody Minds.

Verge cutting, 25th April
Yesterday morning I drove out on to the Old Sherborne Road to a breathtaking vista of golden dandelions covering the grassy area of the junction and both sides of the road. Almost heart-stoppingly beautiful, as only early Spring can be. By the time I returned your lot had mown them all down, leaving just bare boring green. WHY? Where’s the sense or necessity of ruining something so life-enhancing and causing no problems whatever? The grass hadn’t had time to become long and untidy, and there were no issues with visibility or safety. It was an act of pure vandalism. Yet where you could greatly enhance the appearance of our roadside verges, by clearing them of litter, no action is ever taken. I haven’t seen a council litter team on that road in the 40 years I’ve lived in Charminster. You’re happy to cut the verges all summer, leaving behind a mess of chopped up cans and plastic bags, but only private individuals like myself ever venture to clear the rubbish. Why do you do it? Can’t you leave well alone, or are you simply robots doing what you’re programmed to do? Have you no soul? R Wyld
