No access to village, 2nd January
The village has a post office and a co-op and a local shop , both shops are at bottom of village road. The railway bridge is a constant issue with the drains not working correctly.
I have lived here for 2 years and residents tell me this has been happening for 25 years..
You can’t get through on the road as the flooding causes both the road and the pavement to become not passable.
I don’t drive and so access to shop is important.
Yet today can’t get to it .

Appalling Road Surface Condition, 8th November
The condition of the WB c/way from marker ‘A180 B 45.0’ until Barnetby Top is dangerously unsafe, more so in Lane 1.
The amount of wear and attempts to patch up existing faults has caused Lane 1 to become a hazard. It’s invariably difficult to maintain a straight line whilst driving due to the constant dipping and dropping into patches that are sunk much lower than the surface of the offside parts in Lane 1. The nearside areas are completely unusable leading to an unsafe practise by vehicles having to take a line way right of centre or straddle into Land 2.
The c/way has always been poor in its entirety but this is becoming a real safety concern and there has been NO action since an identical report from August.
It’s not only causing damage to vehicles but presents a huge safety risk to its users.
Whilst work is still ongoing at Brocklesby Interchange, this is far more pressing.
