Between Moscar Farm House and bottom corner of Old Barn Cottage., 28th April

Sun, 28 Apr 2024 07:48:21 +0100
53.425991 -0.687952

These drains have been reported numerous times, tge slightest rain and they are overflowing, with heavy consistent rain, as we are having today the entire length between the two properties is flooded, this is also causing an issue on the unadopted lane, immediately behind Old Barn Cottage, which is now a flooded, muddy mess along the Eastern side. Historically it is in common knowledge that the two drains in question are capped off at Old Barn Cottage corner, subsequently just clearing the flood water is not solving the cause of it.

Really poor repairs to potholes. Overfilled and loose chippings all over the road. No bonding to the road at all. Heaped up and feels like your driving off road! No warning signs to say it’s uneven, raised or loose chippings.

This blocked drain is 1 metre from this lady's property. She's an elderly lady who has to wash her external walls because of the splashing from the overflowing drain . She's worried the lying water will penetrate the brickwork. She also says there are plants growing out of the drain in the summer. She has reported this previously but no action has been taken.

A631 T junction with Pilham Road, 3rd April

Wed, 03 Apr 2024 20:04:52 +0100
53.409461 -0.700355

At the T junction where Pilham Road meets Corringham Road there have been a number of accidents over the years when cars coming from Pilham overshoot the junction, cross the verge and land in the field. Although give way signs are there this continues to happen and I believe the drivers mistakenly think the road continues. Now concrete boulders have been placed in the ditch in the verge in front of the field but they cannot be seen especially in the dark and I believe are a grave danger to anyone who overshoots this junction in the future. What is needed is a black and yellow hazard warning placed on the verge facing Pilham Road to make drivers aware they are approaching a T junction and the road does not continue straight on. A car hitting those boulders at any speed will not land softly in the field, may overturn and I fear people will be injuredor even killed.
